You will see Proboscis monkeys native to the island Borneo only with their large pendulous noses and long thick tails, and also other species of monkey such as Macaque (long tail), the Langurs popularly known as the Leaf monkeys, namely the Maroon or Red Leaf, Hose's or Grey Leaf,the White Fronted Langur, the Silvered Leaf (most common in Klias wetland) and the Banded Langur.
The night cruise will bring you to the phenomena of synchronized flashing of lights of the magical fireflies, "I've never seen so many fire flies, it's like a street of brightly lit Christmas trees, it is absolutely amazing!" are the usual remarks by delighted visitors especially children.
On a clear night, you can occasionally catch the sight of nocturnal animals such as the fruit bat, the buffy fish owl, small snakes and even wild boars drinking from the river. On such nights a rare and breathtaking view of a myriad of stars including the Plough and the Milky Way can be seen with amazing clarity.
The early sunrise cruise brings you the sight of many species of birds, monkeys, crocodiles, monitor lizards, otters (rare), and tree snakes. The most common sighting are the colourful Stork-Billed and the White-Collared Kingfishers, birds of prey such as the majestic Brahminy Kite eagle, Pale Bellied Fish eagle, Peregrine falcons and the rare White Fronted falconet one of the smallest birds of prey in the world have been spotted by Dr David Jones, a keen bird watcher from United Kingdom. Hornbills, Olive backed and Great Black Woodpeckers, Oriental Darters, Dollar Birds, Red Crowned Barbet have all been recorded in our visitors' book!
